XML Feeds |
XML feeds supply data across the Internet using a data object, which can be stored in a database such as MySQL after using a cron job, or directly displayed on the screen using XSL.
I found some sites teaching about XML feeds:
moreover.com supplies a lot of XML feeds to free sites, a lot of these are implemented at figby.com.
If XML is a new language to you, then you might try looking at w3schools.com which explains XML in a simple fashion.
Why are XML feeds important?
They are important because actual data objects can be accessed across the Internet, meaning that a wealth of information is contained in one object.
